The very evening after the morning of the resurrection Jesus reconvened with his disciples in an upper room. John 20:19-23 records the fact that along with Judas Iscariot, Thomas is also missing. Why? Like so many, even in the church, doubt and fear have eclipsed the glory of the cross and the Hope behind the empty tomb.
