Burn the Ships

We continue our sermon today entitled Burning the Ships. Today we look at two men in the scriptures. One man is found in Genesis 12:1-5. The other is found in Luke 18:18-23. Two men who were both very successful who had so much going for them materialistically speaking. Abraham burned everything behind him in order to follow God completely. The Rich Young Aristocrat in the Book of Luke fail to realize that in God's Great economy spiritual success only comes when we pronounce ourselves spiritually bankrupt. Then and only then are we in a position to be led by the Holy Spirit.
