Kissimmee Christian Academy is a K-8 school and a ministry of Kissimmee Christian Church, sharing a campus in Kissimmee, Florida. We give children an education shaped by Scripture - academically serious, spiritually formative, and grounded in a church family that loves them.
Many of our families use Florida scholarship programs, including Step Up for Students.
Lead the Academy into its next chapter.
The Principal leads the Academy - its spiritual life, academic program, faculty, families, and daily operation - and reports to the Senior Minister of Kissimmee Christian Church.
- Lead the school's spiritual life, including chapel, discipleship, and a Christ-centered tone.
- Oversee curriculum, instruction, and academic standards.
- Hire, develop, supervise, and lead faculty.
- Guide admissions, enrollment, and retention.
- Oversee the budget, accreditation, and compliance.
- Develop and lead an annual school improvement plan.
- Partner with families and church leadership in determining the school's long-term direction.
A spiritually grounded, experienced leader.
Required Qualifications
- A personal, professed faith in Jesus Christ and a consistent walk with Him.
- Full agreement with the Kissimmee Christian Church statement of faith.
- Membership in an independent Christian Church or Church of Christ, or willingness to become a member of one.
- A master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Five years of full-time experience in a school setting.
- At least two years in school administration or formal school leadership with supervisory responsibility.
- Experience supervising and evaluating staff.
- Experience developing and administering a budget.
- Ability to complete Level 2 background screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership at Kissimmee Christian Church, or willingness to become a member.
- A master's degree in educational leadership, educational administration, or a related field.
- Prior service as a principal or head of school, particularly in a private or Christian school.
- Experience in a school operating under a local church's governance and 501(c)(3).
- Familiarity with Florida scholarship programs, including Step Up for Students.
- Experience with accreditation, enrollment growth, or school expansion.
- Conversational Spanish.
$72,500-$105,000 annually
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
