Meet our Interim Preacher
Shawn Grant
Shawn has over two decades of teaching, ministry, and leadership experience. Over that time, he has held a variety of roles. Shawn taught his first college course in 2005 and discovered a deep passion for teaching, earning his Ph.D. from Florida State University in 2012. For the last decade, he taught Literature, History, and Humanities. While earning his PhD and for several years after, Shawn served as the Lead Pastor of a young church plant in Tallahassee, FL. In 2023, Shawn's journey took an unexpected turn as he became the Executive Director of Chick-fil-A. While the experiences seem varied, they are joined by Shawn's desire to honor God by stewarding his gifts in a way that helps others thrive. Alongside him on this journey is his wife of 23 years, Erica Grant. Erica has a varied professional career in her own right but currently serves as the Chief Neighborhood Officer for Orlando Public Libraries. In December 2024, Erica completed her Master of Arts in Information Science and Library Studies at Florida State University. Rounding out the Grant crew are their two children, Jude, a freshman at NeoCity Academy; Emma, a 7th grader at Saint Cloud Middle; and a couple of dogs named Lou and Cooper.
